Jai Mistry

I have worked in the lettings industry since 2009 and become a property manager in 2010 with an estate agent in Finsbury Park. I have gained many years of experience in all aspects of property management.

In 2016 I passed my ARLA qualification “Association of Residential letting Agents”. I also have a Diploma in social housing.

My role at GBP Estates is senior property manager where I deal with all aspects of property management, which include, maintenance, safety certificates, property licencing, property inspection reports, Inventory and checkout reports and deposit returns.

When a tenant leaves, I deal with any dilapidations, which can include me acting as a mediator between landlord and tenants. I process the dispute if this goes to the dispute service. The best way I deal with a situation is to be understanding to all and putting this across to both parties.

Being a property manager is something I really enjoy as I am a people’s person and enjoy helping people in every way I can. The most important thing is to keep the communication open and honest and guiding them in the right direction.

You can normally see me in the office early to organise my day, whilst dealing with any emergency issues coming in throughout the day.

In my spare time I enjoy spending it with my family and friends, mostly entertaining at home as I love to cook.
